Digitally customized patient specific implants for reconstruction of maxillofacial bone defects & facial asymmetry.

Maxillofacial bone defects and facial asymmetry represent are challenging cases in reconstruction. Various materials have been used to restore such defects such as natural and synthetic bone grafts, titanium implants, PEEK and more.
Patient specific implants (PSIs) has many advantages including strength, stiffness, durability, and environmental resistance, in addition to being customizable, easily workable, inert, and they represent an excellent alloplastic material for maxillofacial reconstruction.
In this lecture, different applications of PSIs implants will be presented in various cases of facial asymmetry and maxillofacial defects.
