“Optimal endodontic outcomes are dependent mainly on adherence to proper clinical protocol. However, the root canal complexity in some cases is considered a major factor that limit our effort for complete bacteria elimination from the root canal systems to have a predictable successful outcome.
By the end of this lecture the participant will be able to:
• List the signs of successful and unsuccessful root canal treatment.
• Describe the most common modalities used to determine success or failure.
• Identify endodontic and restorative causes of endodontic treatment failure.
• State the outcomes of primary and secondary root canal treatment.
