Periodontal inflammaging has been extensively studied in the past few years. It is now attainable to suggest that, the biological mechanism of periodontal destruction is in a ways similar to the cellular changes occur in inflammaging . This underlying biological mechanism at the cellular level widened our scope of understanding of periodontal destruction. This presentation will go through the periodontal inflammaging process from the cellular and sub -cellular levels, highlighting the basis of this paradigm shift of periodontal disease pathogenesis
